Who here loves Grand Rapids? Here at Sparrows, we aren’t shy about admitting our crush on this fair city, and with good reason. Grand Rapids is filled with just the best and most creative people on the planet. You all have supported us by stopping in, saying hello, or in some cases becoming a part of the Sparrows family. We appreciate our community so much that we want to contribute in as many ways as possible to helping it grow, all while serving delicious coffee, tea, and juice.
When we opened The Sparrows on Bridge, we welcomed a pop up by our kind and talented Uptown neighbors, Books & Mortar. We loved sharing a space and dream with them through the holidays! Now that their pop-up is over, we’ll be introducing a new collaborative project in the back space.
Welcome Nestology! Nestology Shop & Studio serves up handmade items by local artisans, including stunning brass, copper, and enamel pieces crafted by the shop's owner and curator, artist Stephanie Trompen. The space provides a community vibe and environment- furnishing goods that are mainly crafted locally, with the vision of providing other local artists a place to make a living through their trades. Each piece featured at Nestology is carefully selected for representation of a uniquely vibrant expression of handmade art. Non-handmade items will include: gifts, books, vintage, and plant life. Nestology is also home to regularly scheduled lessons and art classes led by local guest artists and esteemed craftspersons.
