Sparrows Patio Party!
Sparrows has recently made some changes, as I'm sure anyone who has been in lately has noticed. We have created a new logo and have redecorated the shop. In order to serve you better, we have scheduled multiple staff members to be working during our busiest times to downsize your wait time. We have changed our pastries to include (in our opinion) the best available in town including Field & Fire and GR Bagel. And now, we are branching out to include new and higher quality menu items that will broaden our reach within the Grand Rapids community.
Here are a list of things we love and truly feel will change your next experience at Sparrows:
Pour Over Coffee - We realize we're a bit late to the game with pour over, but we are so excited to have added it to our menu. Our skilled staff takes great pride in serving high quality pour over, and would be happy to answer any questions you have about it.
Tea - It's been said that the history of tea changes every time someone in the world drinks a cup, or declines a cup, or even has a conversation (or writes a blog post) about tea. Drinking tea is a custom unique to each individual, and there is no "correct" way to do it. However, there are suggestions that we can offer as to how to steep the tastiest cup and get the most out of your tea leaves. We recently upgraded our tea selection to include 100% organic teas when possible, and premium teas from reputable distributors. Our staff is now highly trained to talk about each tea, helping you decide which cup to try when you stop in.
Juice - At first, organic cold-pressed juice may seem like an unusual addition to our menu. I'm going to blame my husband for this one. I met him in 2012, and married him in 2014, but it was in 2009 that he was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and given 5-7 years to live. Like anyone that receives such shocking news, he looked for answers and ways to improve his chances of survival. One such treatment was cold-pressed juicing. The process of cold-press retains the integrity of as many vitamins and nutrients in the juice as possible, helping to strengthen the immune system so it can fight off cancer. So, we decided to add it to our menu so our customers can receive the health benefits as well.
We would like to invite you all to come and sample our newest menu items on our patio on May 14, from 2pm-6pm. We will have staff available to answer any questions about the new items and would love to share their knowledge with our customers. We hope you can join us!
